The Calgary Herald has an on-set report from Alan's new film 'Tucker and Dave VS Evil'.

Alan stars alongside Tyler Labine (Reaper) in the movie about two country bumpkins who save the life of a college student but find themselves pitted against evil marauder.

Alan says "It's an outrageous situation, people are dying all over the place and they are accidentally dying. It's a misunderstanding between two camps. It's so funny how long Eli (Craig, the director) can maintain both worlds, both viewpoints. The things we do are constantly reaffirming in their eyes their viewpoints of us. And the things they're doing are showing us that they are completely insane."

15.05.09 'V' picked up

Alan's sci-fi series V has been picked up by ABC. The show concerns a group of aliens who come to Earth seeming friendly, but who are actually here to rape our natural resources and save their own world.

Alan plays an agent with Homeland Security who is investigating a terrorist sleeper cell, with Firefly co-star Morena Baccarin playing the leader of the visiting aliens.

Alan says :  If you're a fan, which I was, of the first one, this is kind of everything that you remember without going back and watching.  Because if you go back and watch the original V, you're like, "Oh, I thought this was great.  It looks really kind of cheesy." The new one fills in your memory as it should be.  And it has really awesome effects.  The effects are done by Zoic, who also did Firefly.  Zoic does all the spacecrafts and anything requiring digital enhancement, and they do a great job.  And then, of course, Morena Baccarin is in it, and she's the leader of the aliens, so you can't get any better than that."

V will form part of ABC's autumn schedule. There's no news as to whether it will be shown in the UK.
